Claire CAYOL

Biography

I am a veterinarian (Oniris, France) and a field- and laboratory-trained disease ecologist. My research has focused on host–parasite interactions at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) and on the links between biodiversity and health at SLU Umeå (Sweden). At the Pirbright Institute (UK), I further strengthened my expertise in virology, laboratory research and biosafety. Building on this background, I transitioned into the technical expertise and science-policy dialogue arena at the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), where I support global expertise in wildlife health.
