Accreditation

Accreditation for Members’ Assembly

In order to exercise their voting and/or speaking rights for motions and decisions during the Members’ Assembly, IUCN Members, who have fully paid their membership dues up to and including 2024, recognised National/Regional Committees must get accredited through the online Accreditation system. This system will be available shortly ahead of Congress.

Members unable to participate in the Members Assembly, or in one or more Sittings, either in person or online, may give their proxy vote(s) to another accredited Member or representative of a recognised National/Regional Committee of the country/region of the Member giving the proxy, who is able to participate in the Members Assembly proceedings.

Information on Accreditation and the use of the online Accreditation system, will be available soon.  Once the system is live, Guidelines on Accreditation for the Members’ Assembly will be made available and shared with all IUCN Members.

Observers with the right to speak at the Members’ Assembly

Organisations with formal working relationships with IUCN as of 31 July 2025 may declare their interest in attending the IUCN Conservation Congress as observers by 31 August 2025.

The Council will review each request and decide on acceptance on a case-by case basis.

If accepted by the Council, the Secretariat will provide access to the electronic system, enabling those observers to exercise their right to speak at the World Congress, provided they complete the accreditation process.
