If you replied yes to all of the above, apply to join our team of volunteers at the IUCN World Conservation Congress taking place in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 15 October 2025.
Note: It is the sole responsibility of each volunteer to make their own visa, accommodation and travel arrangements. IUCN is unable to provide financial support to volunteers, nor reimbursements or refunds.

What will you do?
- Welcome guests, participants and answer their questions.
- Scan and check participant badges at the session entrances.
- Attend and create summary reports of Congress sessions.
- Support the live streaming platform for virtual participants.

Who's eligible?
To apply, volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be available for at least three half-day shifts during the Congress.
- Be available on the afternoon of October 7 for a mandatory two-hour introductory meeting and venue walkthrough (exact time TBC).
- Be able to travel to the Congress venue (ADNEC) using your own means or with a Public Transportation Card.
- Be able to use their own smartphone to connect to the Congress Mobile App.
Selection process

As part of the application process, you will be asked to detail your availability and activity preferences. This information will help the team to schedule volunteers for the role that best suits your indicated preferences and skills.
The Congress Team will review all applications on a first-come, first-served basis and send a confirmation email to those accepted as of September 9. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Please note that applicants living in Abu Dhabi or in the surrounding areas of Abu Dhabi will be given priority. Applications received via email will not be reviewed.
