Why attend

This is an event to discuss new strategies for connectivity. Outdoor recreation specialists and landscape connectivity scientists should come to discuss the synergies between their views and strategies on conservation in order to turn long distance trails into ecological corridors

Session Description

The event will discuss the establishment and management of long distance trails as conservation tools. How they can be planned to serve as ecological connectors between core conservation areas such as protected areas and which measures should be taken in order to make hikers into a vocal group in support of conservation.
