Why attend

This session will present findings from the Youth Climate Funding Study and map the current funding landscape for youth-led climate solutions. It will examine barriers to resource access and explore strategies for fostering more equitable, trust-based funding that advances youth leadership in climate action and conservation.

Session Description

Despite their vital contributions to community-led biodiversity and conservation work, youth-led initiatives often operate with minimal access to funding. This session, led by the Youth Climate Justice Fund (YCJF), will highlight findings from the Youth Climate Funding Study and place young conservation leaders at the center of discussions on resource access and equity. Drawing on experiences from youth activists, funders, and re-grantors, the conversation will explore systemic barriers and pathways toward more inclusive and trust-based funding models. Through this session, participants will have the opportunity to exchange insights and collectively envision strategies to strengthen the role of youth in driving conservation and climate solutions.
