Todd Miller

Biography

As the Director of Conservation Programs for The Nature Conservancy in West Virginia, Todd oversees the land protection, stewardship, forest carbon, ecosystem restoration and conservation planning programs.  He also coordinates that work with numerous partners.  Todd’s career spans nearly 30 years of domestic and international conservation work.  Previously he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in communities around the Jaragua National Park in the Dominican Republic, worked as a Community Conservation Specialist with indigenous communities around Nicaragua's Bosawas Reserve, managed agricultural wildlife preserves for the City of Albuquerque, and directed stream and wetland restoration programs for the Canaan Valley Institute in West Virginia.  Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, and Masters' degrees in Community and Regional Planning and Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico.  In his free time Todd loves to enjoy the great outdoors with his wife and two kids, helps coach a youth mountain bike team, and serves on the board of directors of his local trail group.
