Raquel JIMÉNEZ ACOSTA

Biography

Raquel is Director of Global Action at Reforestamos México, where she promotes the international agenda related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), biodiversity, climate change, and the Escazú Agreement, while strengthening global partnerships in support of forest conservation. She holds a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master's in Environment and Development from King’s College London. She has represented Mexican civil society in official delegations to international negotiations under the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Escazú Agreement. She is currently a member of the IUCN Commission on Environmental, Economic and Social Policy (CEESP).
