Ola DABABNEH

Biography

Ola Dababneh is the Gender Officer at IUCN ROWA, she works on integrating gender equality and women’s empowerment into biodiversity conservation and climate resilience initiatives in Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, and Lebanon, with a focus on supporting vulnerable and local communities. At the national level, she served as the Coordinator of Jordan’s National Strategy for Women (2020–2025) and contributed to multiple national reports such as Jordan's Voluntary National Review. Her work brings together policy and practice, linking national strategies with local realities. She has collaborated with government institutions, UN agencies, and development partners, including GAC, SIDA, FCDO, GEF/GCF, and IWMI, and is passionate about designing projects that respond to the needs and priorities of different social groups in a changing environment.
