Meg is a passionate advocate for connecting people with meaningful travel experiences and has spent more than 25 years in the tourism and hospitality industry.
In her current role, Meg leads the development and delivery of nature-based tourism in South Australia’s network of more than 350 national parks, with a strong focus on inclusive visitor experiences that engage children, young people, communities, and visitors alike.
Guided by regenerative tourism principles, Meg strives to position the tourism sector as a steward of nature and works to contemporise visitor experience delivery that moves beyond sustainability and towards genuine reciprocity.
In addition to working with the State government, Meg has managed small hotels, operated her own consultancy business and has worked in marketing and public relations in other sectors.
Meg is a member of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation alumni (2020), and her tertiary qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Flinders University), Diploma of Hospitality Management (TAFE SA) and an Associate Diploma in Wine Marketing (University of Adelaide). Meg is also a current member of the Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park Co-management Board and the Adelaide Hills Tourism Board and a past member of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges and Gawler Ranges Co-management Boards.
