Lorenzo Santucci is the Chief of the Environment and Development Policy Section at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, leading the work on climate change, nature-based solutions and the conservation and sustainable use of ocean, seas and marine resources, among others. He has over 20 years of experience in research, policy formulation and implementation of technical assistance projects in Asia and the Pacific in a wide array of sustainable development issues, including green economy, disaster risk reduction and sustainable and resilient urban development.
Lorenzo holds a MSc in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and a MSc in environmental economics from Università Bocconi of Milan.
