Lisa Aylett

Biography

Lisa Aylett has a BSc in Ecological and Environmental Sciences with Management from the University of Edinburgh and a MSc in Conservation Science from Imperial College London. Having grown up in various African countries she has a strong background in protected and conserved areas and is particularly interested in effective management, equitable governance and scaling local actions to achieve global biodiversity and climate goals. Lisa has experience working in NGOs (e.g. focussing on primate conservation in West Africa), certification schemes (ISCC), government agencies (BfN) and think tanks (IEEP). In her current role, Lisa is coordinating the delivery of the third update of the renown World Heritage Outlook to monitor the conservation outlook of all sites inscribed for their natural values through the World Heritage Convention.
