Biography
Since joining IFAW’s Disaster Response team in 2012, Jennifer has supported animals in disasters in more than 50 countries around the world. Through deployments to disasters like wildfires, earthquakes and humanitarian crises, she works alongside animal rescue organizations and governments, witnessing the challenges protecting animals in the wake of disasters and the need for including animals in disaster planning. Jennifer focuses on working with disaster-prone communities to develop locally driven solutions to build resilience. Jennifer brings experience from previous roles at the Washington Humane Society in Washington, DC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from American University.
