Christy WILLIAMS

Biography

Amirtharaj Christy Williams is Director of Land Conservation at NEOM, where he leads the development and management of the NEOM Nature Reserve’s land area, including one of the world’s largest regreening and rewilding programmes. With over two decades of leadership experience at WWF and NEOM, he has worked across 20+ countries on Park management, habitat conservation, species recovery, and environmental policy. He also serves as the Red List Authority for the IUCN Asian Elephant Specialist Group and is a member of the IUCN SSC Asian Elephant, Asian Rhino, and Asian Wild Cattle Specialist Groups.
