Aurélien GUINGAND

Biography

Aurélien GUINGAND is a development and environmental economics expert with 15 years of research and project management experience working in and in close partnership with government, private sector, NGOs and research institutions at the interface between development and conservation. He works currently as a Task Team Leader on agriculture, biodiversity and rural development with the French Development Agency (AFD), a public development bank and bilateral donor acting on behalf of the French government. His main areas of expertise include innovative financial mechanisms for biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services valuation, protected areas management and climate change adaptation, with a geographical focus on Africa and Small Island Developing States.
