Anna ESPADALÉ GELIS

Biography

Anna is working as a technician of the Natural Heritage Planning Service of the Government of Catalunya. She has a Degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona, a Master's Degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Professional Postgraduate Degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Girona. 

She has experience in developing protection plans for natural parks, define and increase Natura 2000 sites in Catalonia, green infrastructure strategy, international conservation policies (Convention on Biological Diversity and IUCN), gender and biodiversity  and strategic environmental assessment. 

She is member of the IUCN Interregional Committee for Europe, North and Central Asia and IUCN Spanish National Committee.
