Alberto ALEJANDRO FARJE ORNA

Biography

Ambassador Alberto Alejandro Farje Orna is serving as the first Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the United Arab Emirates. He was assigned in August, and the Embassy was inaugurated on 28 April 2024. His primary mandate is to enhance bilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates—specifically in the economic, and cultural fields—by strengthening trade and investment links, institutional partnerships, and cultural exchange.

 

A career diplomat, Ambassador Farje has broad experience in political affairs, international cooperation, legal advisory consular policy and diaspora engagement. His overseas postings include Spain, Argentina, Paraguay and Japan. At headquarters, his last position was General Director of Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs and Senior Advisor to the Vice-Minister Office.

 

He earned a Law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He subsequently pursued postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Relations (Peruvian Diplomatic Academy); completing doctoral studies in Political Science (Universidad del Salvador); and earning a Master’s in Intelligence Analysis in Democratic Regimes (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos & Universidad Carlos III) and a Master’s in Political Action and Institutional Strengthening (Universidad Francisco de Vitoria).

 

He is married and the father of three.
