Why attend

Join for a candid and solutions-focused exchange between Indigenous Peoples and the IUCN leadership, discussing pathways to center Indigenous Peoples in global negotiation, unlocking influence, decision-making power, and routes to finance.

Session Description

Hosted by the IUCN Director General, this candid dialogue brings the IUCN Secretariat together with Indigenous Peoples’ Member organizations and other Indigenous leaders to discuss the role of IPs within IUCN and the practical ways IUCN can help position Indigenous Peoples at the center of global environmental negotiations. The conversation will focus on elevating Indigenous-led agendas, securing direct access to decision-making and finance, and co-designing strategies that translate recognition into real influence and power across multilateral processes.
