Lessons learned from the Global Mangrove Alliance and the Mangrove Breakthrough
Session Description
This session will highlight lessons learned from the Global Mangrove Alliance and the Mangrove Breakthrough, together bringing together governments, researchers, conservation actors and financial institutions to collectively mobilize $4 billion to protect and restore 15 million ha of mangroves by 2030. Participants will share how their transformative collaboration drives action, accounting for the needs and expectations of actors from local communities to global financial institutions. The session will notably 1) Promote the integration of mangrove conservation into global policy frameworks; 2) Explore innovative financing solutions for mangrove conservation and restoration; 3) Foster cross-sectoral collaboration; 4.
