Why attend

Discover NEOM’s pioneering model as the world’s largest private reserve, protecting 75% of its land and sea, and integrating cutting-edge conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable economic value.

Session Description

NEOM Nature Reserve presents a groundbreaking model redefining conservation at scale. Covering 75% of NEOM’s land and sea, it integrates large-scale regreening, rewilding, and marine restoration, including planting 100 million native trees, reintroducing key predator-prey species, and advancing coral, mangrove, and seagrass recovery. The session showcases how innovative science, compliance frameworks, and advanced monitoring systems ensure biodiversity protection, climate adaptation, and long-term resilience. Additionally, it explores how transformative visitor experiences and conservation goals are combined to create a for-profit social enterprise, demonstrating how ecological protection and economic development can reinforce each other. This session provides an inspiring case study of scaling up resilient conservation action, transitioning to nature-positive economies, and leading disruptive innovation in environmental management.
