Why attend

Join this event to explore ecological connectivity as a solution to biodiversity loss. Discussions will address the mapping, governance, and financing of biodiversity corridors, with insights from Guinea, to promote inclusive and sustainable conservation strategies.

Session Description

This event, organized by the International Coalition “Biodiversity Corridors in Africa”, will address ecological connectivity across the continent. Biodiversity loss, at the heart of the triple planetary crisis, is exacerbated by fragmentation, habitat loss, and degradation. Ecological connectivity therefore emerges as an essential solution. The discussion will focus on key issues: the mapping, governance, and financing of biodiversity corridors. The event will particularly highlight experiences from West Africa, especially Guinea, and showcase initiatives that support African stakeholders in advancing these issues.
