Why attend

Whether you're a scientist, policymaker, or practitioner, this panel will provide valuable insights into holistic approaches to conservation through some of IUCNs flagship tools.

Session Description

Join the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM) and the Species Survival Commission (SSC) for a dynamic discussion on the synergies between the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems, the Green Status of Ecosystems and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This session will explore how IUCN Red Lists have enhanced biodiversity and ecosystem assessments and monitoring, policy-making, and on-the-ground action. Members from both Commissions will share case studies, highlight collaborative opportunities, and discuss how these tools work together to address the global biodiversity crisis.
