Nur'ain LAPOLO

Biography

Nurain Lapolo has been the Executive Director of Japesda (Jaring Advokasi Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Alam) since 2018. She brings over a decade of experience in natural resource management, inclusive village development, and empowering coastal and inland communities through community-based approaches. In addition to leading Japesda’s institutional strategy and partnerships, Nurain served as Coordinator of the Technical Team at the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendesa PDTT) from 2023 to 2024, focusing on developing inclusive village capacity with a digital social accountability system. She has been actively supporting the Gorontalo Province SDGs agenda since 2019 and has served as Japesda’s Chief Technical Advisor since 2020, promoting sustainable fisheries governance and climate-smart agriculture in villages surrounding national parks in Gorontalo. Previously, she contributed as a Mangrove Expert from 2017 to 2019 in Kalimantan and Raja Ampat
