Carla MANJATE ROMBE

Biography

Carla Manjate Rombe is a Mozambican development professional with over 15 years of experience in program management, strategic planning, and gender equality in natural resource governance. She currently serves as Country Programme Manager at IUCN Mozambique, after joining IUCN in 2018 as Regional Gender Officer, where she led the development and implementation of the Gender Equality and Youth Engagement Strategy for Eastern and Southern Africa. Her career spans senior leadership positions in government and international cooperation, including Deputy National Director of Planning at the Ministry of Fisheries, where she co-managed large-scale, donor-funded programs such as SWIOFish1-Moz and the Common Fund for the Fisheries Sector. Carla holds a Master’s in Population and Development from Eduardo Mondlane University.
