Description de la séance

The Freshwater Challenge is the world’s largest initiative to restore degraded freshwater ecosystems, aiming to safeguard biodiversity, build climate resilience, and secure water resources by 2030. As a founding member and co-lead, the UAE is turning this global ambition into practical action designed for arid and water-scarce contexts. This session will spotlight the UAE’s achievements and new commitments in conserving and restoring freshwater and coastal wetlands. Case studies will highlight successes in protected area designation, ecosystem restoration, and community engagement.
