Isabel WALLNOEFER

Biography

Motivated by a strong commitment integrating youth voices in global water governance, Isabel Wallnöfer works to promote sustainable water management across sectors and strengthen youth leadership in addressing freshwater conservation. As Youth and Water Stewardship Officer with IUCN’s Water and Wetlands team, she focuses on promoting wetland conservation, youth engagement in the water sector and corporate water stewardship. Isabel is actively involved in the Freshwater Challenge and serves as IUCN’s focal point for the Convention on Wetlands, building on her previous experience at the Convention Secretariat supporting European contracting parties. Before joining IUCN, she worked as a researcher on wetland ecology and conservation at IHE Delft. She holds a Master’s in Aquatic Ecology and Wetland Management
