Armia Fahmi

Biography

Irjen. Pol. (Ret.) Armia Fahmi (born October 12, 1966) is the Regent of Aceh Tamiang for the 2025–2030 period. A retired two-star general of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), his last appointment was as Senior Policy Analyst for Social and Cultural Affairs to the Chief of Police.

A graduate of the Indonesian Police Academy (Akpol) in 1990, Armia Fahmi has extensive experience in human resources and social–cultural policy. As a native son of Aceh Tamiang, he brings deep local knowledge and commitment to his role as regional leader.

As Regent, his leadership mission focuses on:

  • Enhancing economic growth and ensuring equitable social welfare through food and water self-sufficiency programs, aimed at nurturing a healthy generation in Aceh Tamiang.
  • Reducing disaster vulnerability and strengthening community resilience.
  • Advancing research and innovation to deliver adaptive solutions that respond to societal needs while ensuring environmental conservation.
  • Promoting sustainable local economic models that balance development and ecological stewardship.

Through these commitments, Armia Fahmi envisions a prosperous, resilient, and environmentally sustainable Aceh Tamiang.
