JACOBO ARTEE

Biography

I was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, into a family of hunters, led by my father, a pioneer of organized hunting in the state. What began as tradition gradually evolved into conservation projects focused on breeding and repopulating native species. I studied Industrial Engineering and later earned an MBA, but my true passion has been wildlife conservation, which I have pursued for more than 30 years. Through Sierra El Álamo, I have dedicated myself to restoring ecosystems, with a special focus on desert bighorn sheep, creating a replicable model of sustainable wildlife management in Mexico.
