Ala AL DWAIRI

Biography

Ala Al Dwairi is a civil engineer and Natural Infrastructure Officer at IUCN’s Water and Wetlands Team, where she advances nature-based solutions for water management to sustain healthy landscapes and river basins. With over a decade of experience across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, she has worked on integrated water and land management, eco-tourism, gender equality, and post-conflict rebuilding guidelines for the MENA region. Ala holds dual master’s degrees in Urban Climate and Sustainability and is committed to promoting equitable, climate-resilient solutions that link nature conservation with community well-being.
