Biography
Tamryn Venter, as part of the invasive species team at IUCN, assists with various projects and activities relating to the prevention, identification, surveillance, management and awareness raising of invasive alien species. Tamryn is also part of the EICAT Unit, contributing to the IUCN EICAT Standard process. Tamryn holds an MSc in Plant Sciences from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, where she researched the floristic patterns of the Waterberg Mountain Complex, and has previous experience with invasive species through her honours research on an invasive agricultural pest.
