Biography
Hongbo Yang is a conservation biologist at the Research Center for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned his PhD from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on integrating techniques from different disciplines, such as remote sensing, GIS, and causal inferences, to study complex interactions among humans, wildlife and wildlife habitats across space and time. Through his interdisciplinary research, he seeks to provide actionable insights that support sustainable management of natural resources and ecosystems in a rapidly changing world.
