Lebin LIU

Biography

Lebin Liu has an undergraduate background in general biology and horticulture while having a master’s degree of Ecology, Evolution and Conservation at Imperial College London. She finished her master dissertation with the Living Planet Index team in Zoology Society London with a topic of Marine Megafauna Population Trends and the Effects of Bycatch

Since joining Qingdao Marine Conservation Society (QMCS) in 2020, Lebin has been conducting field surveys, desk research, stakeholder interview with a focus on the conservation of crucial marine habitats and threatened species. She has been participating in projects that preserve seagrass meadow, oyster reef, and intertidal mudflat biodiversity, as well as small scale fishing community engagement programmes.
