Why attend

Compliance with the EU zero-deforestation regulation goes far beyond traceability verifications in the commodity supply chain and can represent exclusion for several producers. In this session, we explore the co-benefits of applying a landscape approach to complementary ecosystem restoration and conservation actions beyond compliance.

Session Description

This session will present practical insights on how compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) can be transformed into a catalyst for inclusive, ethical, and premium markets. Through general real cases and result of multi-stakeholder dialogue, we will showcase how ecosystem restoration and social equity approaches can go beyond compliance, unlocking shared value for producers, consumers, and landscapes. The panel is organized in three blocks: 1. Background, negotiation status & Agricultural global agenda – challenges/opportunities 2. Safeguards 3. Climate, Biodiversity and Bioeconomy
