Jane BUDD

Biography

Dr. Jane Budd is Head of Veterinary Services at the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah, UAE. She has over 25 years of experience in wildlife health and conservation, specialising in Arabian Peninsula species. She oversees veterinary operations across EPAA’s collections and guides the care and breeding of endangered species, including the critically endangered Arabian leopard, for which she also serves as International Studbook Keeper and Vice Coordinator of the EEP. Dr. Budd’s career reflects progressive leadership, from her early work as a veterinary nurse and animal keeper to her current senior roles in veterinary services, research and species management. She is also committed to training and mentoring the next generation of veterinary and animal care professionals.
