Expect two powerful stories of communities asserting their rights in conservation. “Conservation on Community Terms: The Power of Biocultural Community Protocols” reveals how legal and cultural tools are enabling communities in Southern Africa to defend and define their resource rights. “From the Ground Up: Central Asia’s Journey from Fragmentation to Wild Sheep Cooperation” shares the story of the Wild Sheep and Goat Partnership for Central Asia — a collaboration born from communities themselves, now uniting governments, researchers, and local people to protect wild sheep and secure livelihoods.
