Sustainable livelihoods play a key role in helping communities achieve the dual goals of biodiversity conservation and development. They also support the implementation of Target 9 of KM-GBF.

This session brings together community-based conservation practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to share how they incorporate sustainable livelihoods and benefit sharing while protecting species and ecosystems. We will share cases of Asia from China, Mongolia and Philippines. The cases include sustainable fishery, pastoralism, eco-tourism and other sustainable livelihoods in different ecosystems, showing how local communities manage their natural resources and conserve endangered species like Giant Panda, Gibbons and Migratory birds.Partenaires
