Pheobe OKUTOYI

Biographie

A dedicated young lady with a deep passion for nature and conservation, she is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship and sustainability. Ms. Okutoyi actively champions the meaningful involvement of youth in conservation initiatives, recognizing their critical role in shaping solutions for today’s challenges while safeguarding resources for future generations. 

She has taken part in numerous education and awareness campaigns, actively engaging in initiatives that involve schools and communities across the country, with a strong focus on wildlife conservation and fostering community participation.

Ms. Okutoyi is among the youth representatives from various Biosphere Reserves across the country participating in UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Youth Initiative, where she represents the Mt. Elgon Transboundary Biosphere Reserve spanning Kenya and Uganda.
