Michelle TAPIM

Biographie

Michelle Tapim, is a proud Aboriginal woman, descendant of the Djabugay peoples and Gudjal peoples from North Queensland, Australia. She has served with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority for 30 years. With extensive experience in natural resource management, she is currently Assistant Director of the Reef Authority’s Flagship First Nations Traditional Use of Marine Resources Agreement (TUMRA) Program. She actively participates in strengthening community partnerships; advancing frameworks that empower Traditional Owners to care for their sea Country estates to shape a future where cultural heritage and sustainable management are holistically recognised, respected, applied and protected.
