Descripción de la sesión
This high-level session explores the urgent need to reconcile agricultural production with healthy ecosystems and people, while ensuring water and energy security in the face of climate change, growing food demands, and natural resource degradation. As the world confronts overlapping crises—biodiversity loss, climate change, food insecurity, water stress, pollution, pandemics, and inequality—it is critical to identify integrated solutions that deliver benefits for both people and planet.Focusing on the delicate balance required to meet human needs within planetary boundaries, the session will feature dialogue among governments, civil society, farmers, and businesses. Panelists will share real-world stories and innovative solutions, while exploring how to mobilize collaboration, align institutional mandates, and unlock investments.
Participants will be inspired to reimagine the role of food and agricultural systems in achieving resilient, equitable development, and to explore policy, financial, and institutional mechanisms that foster cross-sectoral coherence and long-term sustainability.
