Luther Bois ANUKUR

Biografía
Luther Anukur took up the position of Regional Director – Eastern and Southern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya on 1 August 2014. Luther has over 18 years’ experience in the development sector serving from grassroots community level to a proven record of many years in senior management and senior leadership roles at country and regional levels. He is currently the Deputy Regional Director for Plan International in the region of Eastern and Southern Africa, where he is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of regional strategies to deliver quality programs through support to Country Management Teams. Previously he was Regional Director for Panos Eastern Africa where he led the organization in building the capacity of civil society and media organizations to enhance voice and visibility of poor and marginalized groups. He also held various country leadership positions in World Vision International and Child Fund International. He is a winner of the prestigious annual award by the British Council & Uganda Management Forum for professional service to the Country as the Professional Male of the year 2006 and also a senior Fellow with Synergos which brings together distinguished international civil society leaders committing efforts to address underlying causes of poverty and inequality by promoting and supporting collaborations among business, government, civil society and marginalized communities. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands & East and Southern Africa Management School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Economics and Social Administration from Makerere University in Uganda. Luther is a citizen of Uganda and currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya with his wife and two sons.
