Dhun DAVAR

Biographie


Dhun is Chief of Programmes and Deputy CEO. She leads AVPN’s Thematic Platforms (Climate, Gender, Health and Nutrition) and Capital Mobilisation functions providing strategic and operational leadership. As a member of the leadership team, Dhun supports AVPN’s overall strategic direction working closely with the CEO and other leaders to develop and implement organisational strategies to maximise impact. Dhun is a recognised expert and thought leader in impact and philanthropy and has held several leadership positions in the past including as CEO, COO, and board member. Prior to joining AVPN, she was at UBS as the Head of Social Impact & Philanthropy for Asia-Pacific and Head of Social Finance, and she was a member of the management team for the bank’s foundation network - the UBS Optimus Foundation. Dhun holds degrees in Economics and Development and is a strong proponent of impact economy. She believes it is imperative that we reimagine the role of public, philanthropic, and private finance for impact, and that collaboration is key to all that we do for people and the planet. Dhun loves nature, wildlife, music and dance and has lived and worked in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She currently lives in Dubai with her husband and son.
