Description de la séance
This session explores how corporate commitments to sustainable sourcing can drive ecosystem-based adaptation and resilience. Clarmondial, IUCN and other partners will discuss how landscape programs can be anchored by sustainable commodity sourcing initiatives and enabled by impact investing and catalytic funding approaches. The session is informed by real projects in Least Developed Countries.Despite growing attention to regenerative landscapes, challenges remain around financially sustainable funding models, alignment across stakeholders, that demonstrable value for all stakeholders including local communities, public and private sectors. This session aims to unpack what’s working and what’s needed next to truly scale.
The “Reviving High-Quality Coffee” initiative – an ongoing partnership between GEF, Nespresso, Kyagalanyi Coffee Ltd, Clarmondial and IUCN – serves as a flagship example of how blended finance, inclusive sourcing, and local innovation can deliver measurable economic and environmental outcomes.
