This interactive session brings together practitioners to share experiences on integrating gender equity and human rights based approach into the governance of protected and conserved areas. It will examine barriers that limit women’s participation, highlight successful models of inclusive governance, and discuss tools and policies that enable equitable outcomes. Through dialogue, the session will identify how gender-responsive governance strengthens conservation effectiveness, ensures benefit-sharing, and builds social justice in Protected and Conserved Areas.
