Join us for an insightful session on the JO-METT tool, a localized version of the globally recognized METT framework. We'll explore how this tool, the first to mainstream gender and be available in Arabic, helps Jordan's protected areas effectively achieve their conservation goals.

Description de la séance

The Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (METT) is a globally recognized framework, jointly developed by the World Bank and WWF, for assessing and monitoring the management effectiveness of protected areas. This simple, practical, and adaptable tool evaluates how well these areas achieve their conservation goals, drawing heavily on the IUCN framework for protected area management effectiveness assessment. To address Jordan's specific context, a localized version, JO-METT, was created. It incorporates additional evaluation criteria, notably climate change and gender dimensions, making it the first localized version to mainstream gender and the first available in Arabic.
