Descripción de la sesión

Rivers are our planet’s lifelines, sustaining water access, health, livelihoods, and resilience. Yet half of the world’s countries now face degraded freshwater due to overuse, climate change, and waste pollution. With demand projected to outstrip supply by 40% by 2030, urgent action is needed to protect these fragile ecosystems. This session will bring together changemakers from waste, water, biodiversity, and climate sectors to explore how closing waste loops and embedding inclusive adaptation strategies can strengthen both ecosystems and communities.
