Descripción de la sesión
This high-level dialogue marks the launch of Armenia’s vision as host of the CBD COP17 in Yerevan in October 2026. Building momentum toward the first Global Review of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF), the event will introduce the Presidency’s inclusive approach—uniting governments, Indigenous Peoples and local communities, civil society, the private sector, academia, and international financial institutions to deliver transformative outcomes. Discussions will explore how COP17 can accelerate progress on key priorities: resource mobilization, operationalization of the Cali Fund on Digital Sequence Information (DSI), and advancing the new Subsidiary Body under Article 8(j). Participants will also consider innovative mechanisms to drive systemic change across production, consumption, and value chains in support of KMGBF targets. By initiating an open and transparent process, this side event aims to shape the COP17 Presidency’s Action Agenda and mobilize global partnerships toward reconnecting humanity with nature.Organised by
