Por qué asistir

Join us for a conversation about we can use the extensive reach and people focused expertise of ex situ organisations like zoos and aquaria to inspire the societal shifts required to save biodiversity.

Descripción de la sesión

Collectively zoos, aquaria, botanic gardens, museums and similar ex situ organisations engage millions of people. Over the last decades these organisations have increasingly turned to behavioural sciences to increase the impact of their work and ensure they are moving beyond awareness raising of conservation issues to inspiring behaviour change and empowering their audiences to take conservation action. Case studies and open discussion will reveal some of the techniques being used in organisations across the globe, look at some of the challenges of measuring this impact and crucially explore how we could take this further to achieve greater impact for conservation globally.
