Discover how innovation and investment can drive climate-resilient, nature-positive development and unlock green growth in one of the world’s most critical yet overlooked regions. Through real-world stories from entrepreneurs and investors, and strategic dialogue on cross-sector partnerships, we will explore how cross-sector partnerships can accelerate investment in mountain regions.
Descripción de la sesión
The Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) mountain region is on the frontlines of climate and environmental disruption, facing rapid glacier melt, biodiversity loss, increasingly severe climate risks and food insecurity. Mobilizing investment at scale is critical to enable low-carbon, climate-resilient development but finance to the region remains deeply inadequate.Join us to explore:
· How targeted climate finance and investment can unlock and grow a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in mountain regions like the HKH
· The journeys and real-life examples from impact-driven entrepreneurs supported through the HKH-ICE, and their innovative businesses.
· How blended finance, risk-sharing mechanisms, and public-private collaboration can overcome barriers to investment in frontier regions.
· How the HKH Investment Working Group for Resilient Mountains and similar alliances can be used as a platform for governments, investors, and businesses to coordinate and scale resilient mountain investments.
