Descripción de la sesión

Children are powerful agents of change in biodiversity conservation, climate action, and sustainability. This session showcases how youth-led initiatives transform education into a catalyst for conservation, fostering policy engagement and driving tangible action across all levels. The EducationNatureNexus program equips young leaders with essential knowledge and skills to influence environmental governance, bridge generational divides, and accelerate whole-of-society solutions. This interactive World Café session will officially launch the 2025 Global Child Biodiversity Declaration, co-authored by thousands of students worldwide. Through intergenerational dialogue, participants will explore: Intergenerational Conservation Leadership – Connecting youth with policymakers in National Committees, Commissions, and the Secretariat. Youth Inclusion in Policy and Governance – Dismantling barriers to youth engagement in decision-making. Education and Biodiversity Action – Embedding biodiversity into education systems. Technology & Innovation in Conservation – Harnessing AI, citizen science, and digital tools to scale impact. The session concludes with concrete action plans and policy recommendations to standardize child-led conservation.
