This roundtable unites key stakeholders from UAE University (UAEU), the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), Al Ain City Municipality, and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) to examine how strategic collaboration drives environmental sustainability in the UAE.The discussion will showcase successful partnerships in research, policy development, and community engagement, emphasizing climate resilience, nature-based solutions, and sustainable urban planning. Panelists will share best practices, lessons learned, and forward-looking strategies that connect academia, government, and local communities.
Highlighted initiatives include “Plant the Emirates” and UAEU’s leadership in fostering youth participation and research-driven environmental innovation. This session underscores UAEU’s commitment to advancing national sustainability goals and its role as a hub for evidence-based policy support and cross-sector cooperation.
