Vinay Singh is the Regional Nature-Based Solutions Programme Coordinator within the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Pacific Office. He is currently leading several projects on climate change adaptation that integrate nature-based solutions (NbS) into key sectors across the Pacific region. In his position, Vinay works at multiple scales, including global, regional, national, and local, supporting initiatives that bridge science, policy, and practice, ensuring that conservation actions are inclusive and impactful. Vinay’s work reflects his deep commitment to protecting ecosystems while promoting equitable growth. Through his role, he champions Pacific conservation, innovation, partnerships, and practical action to secure a more sustainable future for people and nature alike. Previously, Vinay served as the Director of Policy and Research at the Ministry of Waterways and Environment in Fiji. He has a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Engineering from Griffith University (AUS).
